This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you or your child uses the Magink mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Magink is an AI-based story creation and reading platform designed for children. This policy works together with our Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (EULA), including rules for subscriptions and in-app purchases.

1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we may collect: email address, name (or display name), password (stored securely), profile preferences, and device information (device type, OS version, unique identifiers) for service delivery and security.
1.2 Child-Related Information
For child accounts or family-managed profiles: child's display name or nickname (optional), age range for content appropriateness, avatar and character preferences, and story creation inputs (character names, themes, story prompts) used to generate personalized stories. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
1.3 Usage Data
We collect anonymous or pseudonymized usage data: story reads, features used, session length, subscription and in-app purchase events (e.g., product type, not your full card data), and crash reports. This helps us improve the app and fix issues.
1.4 Payment and Subscription Data
When you buy a subscription or in-app purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play, payment is processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive your full payment card number. We may receive limited information from the platform and our systems, such as subscription status, renewal dates, product identifiers, transaction or receipt identifiers, and aggregated revenue metrics, as needed to provide paid features and comply with law.
1.5 AI-Generated Content
Stories and content created using our AI tools are stored on our servers to enable sync, sharing, and reading across devices. We may use anonymized or aggregated story data to improve our AI models, subject to your preferences and applicable law.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Magink app and services
- Personalize stories and recommendations
- Validate subscription and in-app purchase entitlements and prevent fraud or abuse
- Send transactional emails (e.g., account verification, password reset)

- Analyze usage patterns to improve the product
3. Subscriptions, In-App Purchases, and Storefronts
Paid features may be offered as auto-renewing subscriptions and/or one-time in-app purchases. Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are primarily handled by Apple or Google according to their terms and your account settings. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account (e.g., Subscriptions in device settings). If a free trial or introductory offer is shown in the app, its duration and conversion to a paid plan follow the terms presented at purchase and the applicable store rules.
Purchases by minors should be managed using platform parental controls, Ask to Buy, Family Sharing, or equivalent features. We encourage parents and guardians to review store purchase settings on devices used by children.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We require third parties to protect data in line with this policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we remove or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain data for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, dispute resolution, tax and accounting obligations related to transactions).
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access your data, correct inaccuracies, delete your data, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent. We use industry-standard measures (encryption, access controls, secure protocols) to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
